Things to Do in Denver in November

The Denver Center for the Performing Arts (DCPA) Broadway presents a variety of shows, including both current and upcoming productions. Some of the notable shows include “Moulin Rouge! The Musical”, “The Lion King”, “SIX: The Musical”, “Water for Elephants”, and “The Music Man”. Additionally, the DCPA also features added attractions such as “Hamilton“, “The Book of Mormon“, and “Mamma Mia!“. 

The Denver Film Festival is an annual, 10-day celebration of cinema held in Denver, Colorado, showcasing a diverse range of films from around the world, including premieres and independent works. It’s the largest film festival in the Rocky Mountain region and a prominent cultural event in Denver, featuring screenings, special events, filmmaker appearances, and more. 

Denver’s Day of the Dead celebrations, known as Día de los Muertos, are vibrant cultural events honoring deceased loved ones. They typically involve altars (ofrendas) decorated with photos, flowers, and favorite items of the departed, along with parades, festivals, and community gatherings. These celebrations blend Mexican traditions with European Catholic influences and are a joyous way to remember and connect with those who have passed. 

The Denver Christmas Show is an annual holiday event featuring a festive marketplace with over 275 vendors selling gifts, decor, and treats. It also includes photos with Santa, live entertainment, and other holiday activities. The show takes place at the National Western Complex from November 22-24, 2024.
